Sale Includes 1VINTAGE HAND MADE & TURNED WOOD STAUNTON CHESS SET W/ BOARD & COMPARTMENTS - FRANCE.This is a beautiful French made Staunton chess set and board with side compartments. Ibelievethe board is a mix of maple and box wood. The king isapproximately2 5/8\" tall and the board isapproximately18 13/16\" x 13 3/4\" x 2 3/4\".The squares are approximately 1 1/2\" x 1 1/2\".All thepiecesare stained and felted. They allappearto be in very nice condition without any chips or cracks. The knobs on top of the compartments are brass and the bottom of the compartments are felted in green.
