Vintage Korean War Everwear Steamer Trunk with key/tray/straps/liner/label :
$99.99

Trunk is in used condition with military paint for Sargent stenciled in paint.  A paint over and various other painted shipping destinations.  Trunk is sturdy.  and the key matches the trunk.   The trunk measures 28\" x 8 1/2\" x 16 1/2\" outside diameters.  The Trunk is Everwear and still has the label.  Trunk is very clean inside.  Tray needs a nail or two, but is all there.  Straps and paper look original, but not sure.  This trunk was last shipped November 13, 1952.  It was sent from Sargent Robert Snyder to his father Albert Snyder in Hagerstown, MD.  \"M.E.S.\" is stamped by handle, and various other addresses are painted on the bottom of trunk along with the service shipping label for the date above.  Key is manufactured by Eagle Lock Co.  Terryville, Conn USA.  There are actually a pair of keys with this trunk and you will receive both matching keys.  Latch is bent but serviceable  Brass fixtures and rivets.  The inside is in remarkable shape.  I guess Everwear trunks live up to their name.  No evidence that Snyder was stationed in Korea, but he was certainly enlisted during the Korean War (1950-1953).  A great trunk to paint or leave as is to honor his service.  There are only 2 other Everwear trunks listed on and only 5 total in the past 3 months.
