This is a nice bell style fire detector and alarm marked Maxam and made by Gardsman Corp. The unit is class 6350-013, government approved and says it\'s used by US Army, US Air Force, and others. Permanent thermostat set at 135 degrees. As far as I can tell it\'s in working order, though I\'m not by any means an expert on something like this. There is a pull tab marked \"rewind\" as you can see from the pics. As I\'m no authority on things of this nature, I\'m stating that this is sold as-is, and as a collectible and/or display piece only. If you choose to put it to use in the original function that it was designed for I can make no guarantees that it will perform as it was originally intended.The piece measures 7\" in diameter and is wall mountable with a single nail or screw.
