Vintage collectable 1950s atomic Martin Boyd Black and white porcelain Moon vase, Australia pottery
Beautiful simple atomic era black and white crescent moon shaped vase made and signed Martin Boyd, which was a mid century Australian pottery business set up by Guy Boyd and Norma Flegg. Guy Martin à Beckett Boyd (1923-1988), was a prolific and successful sculptor and ceramicist and came from an illustrious Australian family of artists and writers. Martin Boyd pottery is highly collectable. They stopped producing in the early 1960s. The shape is timeless and would make a beautiful addition to a collection.
In very good condition - no cracks, but there is a tiny chip off the very pointy end on one end - it has been painted black so impossible to see.
