Vtg Antique 1890\'s Ramsay\'s Superior Scotch Malt Whiskey Crock Jug

Here is an antique Ramsay\'s Superior Scotch Malt whiskey jug in very good condition for the age. There are no cracks or chips but it does have age crazing in the lacquer like finish. There is a minor separation on the finger ring where it meets the neck, probably a factory flaw and it is not loose at all. It just shows a dark line there. It has very nice labeling with all letters intact and two Scottish guys and an elks head. I have read where this is said to be from the 1890\'s. John Ramsey took over a distillery in Scotland in 1833. He died in 1892 and his widow Lucy took over until her death in 1906, at which time it was passed on to her son Ian Ramsay and he sold it in 1920. I believe the 1890\'s would be pretty close on age as this old jug does show some crudeness. I would guess the volume to be around a quart. This measures about 7 1/2" tall not counting the cork and about 4 3/4" across the shoulder and 3 3/4" across the bottom. This is a little heavy at over 3 pounds boxed.
