Billy Possum Button

Taft’s Billy Possum was a failed attempt to oust and replace Roosevelt’s Teddy Bear.

Recent estate find. Measures 7/8” wide.

There’s a nasty amount of darkening and discoloration that looks to be mostly oxidation related. Heavily worn and dulled. Lots of rubbing wear to the highest portion of the possum. The back has some rusting.
