The clock face itself measures 4\" across the dial and 5 1/2\" across brass outer ring. It runs and keeps PERFECT time. The clock is NOT chiming. I have not taken it apart to figure it out. There is some oxidation as shown in the last 4 of the detailed photos provided which should be considered part of the description.
