Here is an AbsoluteBeautiful Museum Quality Piece of WW2 German Panzer History. A WW2 German Camo Panzer Pioneers Officers, NCO Wrap, Tunic. It is a summer style wrap, in a U.S. Medium size, (about a 38 to 40 chest) It has canvas made adjuster straps Sewn into the tunic on the inside for a custom fit. The tunic shows some wear and is a bit dirty but that is what is to be expected from a used tunic. I am not sure if this is a repro or a original. I believe it is an original but I am not an expert. Ithad beenkept in atemperaturecontrolled display case on a manikin at a museum. It includes matching camo shoulder boards with black piping and a subduedgrey tress and 2 rank pips. Pipsare a bit dulled from age but still in good shape. They are held on by a unit marked shoulder board button baring the unit number 13. The underside of the buttons aremarked with RZM logowith M5/230 and W.D. All steel dye stamped into the buttons. (sea photo\'s, I tried to get all them in as good as I could). The color also has the subdued grey tress with Wehrmacht Panzergrenadier color tabs. Tabs are a bit dirtybut still attached good and havegood color. Thereis a gold tank destruction badge mounted on a piece of bottleneckgreen wool on the Right sleeve. Which is for 5 single handed tank destructions. The ribbon looks& feels original. The tank itself looks to have beenreplaced by a reproduction one. There are 3 Pockets to this tunic. One on the chest and two inside. One on each side. The Front pocket has a panzer skull closure button which is worn but still there. This one is also marked on the back -Its marked with Rzm logo, the letter A withcircle on the tip of it, SS runes and 155/38. This to is dye struck into the back of this button. The iron cross is aWW1 1914 issue screw back. This I believe to also be a reproduction. The Iron cross ribbon looks to be original though. Ittoo, isa bit worn and dirty but still attached well and not ripped or tattered.Brest eagle has been removed. All the other closure buttons are made out of a blueish colored bakelite material. The are 2 equipment belt hook attachment on the inside of the tunic with the belt loop hooks still present. The pattern and material it is made out of is as you can see a bit faded and worn but is still strong and usable.. I believe I have covered everything.Like I said Museum quality. This is one of the better items I had acquired at the Historical Museum of Military History in State College Pa.last month. This was a part of the William Piper Collection. (Father and inventor of the Piper Airplane)Those of youwho have been following me these past 2 months know that all the items I had acquired from that sale are only of the best in quality and craftsmanship. I have tried to takethe best pictures I could to show the absolute beauty of this wrap but they do not do it any justice. Please ask all the questions you may have and read all descriptions and view all pictures. Please feel free to request more pictures. We are more than happy to send more of them to you. This is the only Tunic Wrap we acquired at the State College sale so there wont be another one of these like some of the other items we have listed from that sale. If you want It, Make it yours.
