in the 1950's the estate notes they used a singer seeing matching and did one line of white stitching to put on a display, so fabric wouldn't decay .

It's in great shape - but aging it falling apart- no unbearable smell / no odors or decay ... it's really made quite well.

Please see handmade panels on thick edges ( once white now aged / dirty white ).

I'm told is this Flag was possibly made using mathematical measurements and angles important to this private respected organization that nearly ALL of our forefathers belonged to.

There is a part where your hand would hold on a ceremony - looks like a bone "Stop" - has 2 brass flathead screws.

Years of handling have made it all very smooth. The wooden staff is not as old as Flag.

This item rightfully belongs in a grand lodge. I will consider fair offers.

Zoom up on the material ... it's almost a cotton cheesecloth. It material is very similar to antique Flags from the 1800's and following eras. Possibly earlier? Wow! If this item could only "talk".z as they say... what a history this item has seen and survived.
