Extremely RareWW1 Type 'G' 1915Trench Tripod for Rangefinder, Trench periscope and Telescope.
In Excellent restored condition. These were often but not always painted green or black for field use.
They were built with Copper, Brass and Aluminium non-ferrous materials to withstand corrosion in the field.
Legs are Red or White Oak and are in perfect shape.
All functions are positive and smooth. The spirit level no longer has spirit inside, though I'm sure it is restorable.
It is extremely tight and smooth working, andcomplete.
Perfect for original use with period Instruments such as Trench Periscope, Telescope or Artillery Rangefinder, and also usable
for Surveyor's Transit or Large Format period Photographic equipment.
