A Stunning Highland Targe18" in diameter.
A Superb & Rare Highlanders Targe made by the late David Smith Master Swordsmith, made in the 1980's in his Buchanan Smithy on the Balmaha estate, at Drymen on the shores of Loch Lomond, the Targe is 18 inches in diameter. It has a hand written inscription by David on the back of the targe. The front is real leather, with lovely Brass studding, this is an heirloom quality item. Ideal for Scots worldwide or Highland enthusiasts anywhere. Alba gu brath!
This is intended for decorative purposes or for wear with full Scots Highland Dress, the targe is constructed to the highest possible standards the front is real leather, with intricate Brass Studding in a traditional design, this is based upon an example in Glasgow museum circa 1730. I also have a stunning dirk made by David.
