This listing is for a completely natural, unaltered, untouched freshwater crab fossil (Potamon sp.) preserved in a natural cavity of travertine matrix. It comes from the Denizli Basin in southwest Turkey where the geology dates to the Pleistocene epoch which occurred 2.58 - 0.012 million years ago. The carapace is 1.18 inches (exactly 3 cm) between the widest points; the fossil exhibits amazingly detailed three-dimensional preservation as seen in the photos and video. There are no loose parts, whatsoever.
