Fantastic example of a bronze Lincoln life mask. Cast from Volk’s 1860 original. This is a high quality early casting. I’d think it was done in the 19th century or very early 20th century. It is one of an edition of 1,500. This is number 117 of that run. Oddly number 116 sold on in March 2024 for $8,500. See the final photo in my listing for a screenshot of that sale.

The one that I am selling has had a bronze mounting pole applied to it that will fit into a custom marble base that’s been made for it. This makes it very easy and handsome to display in your home. If you wished the pole could be cut off quite easily and with little damage. The mask with attached support can be taken on and off the marble base freely. It stands approximately 11.5” tall when on the marble plinth. Measured from the back, ear to ear it is 7.5” wide. Measures from the back, from the top of head to the chin is 8.5”. Weight with the base is 13lbs 40. Weight of just the mask and attached support is 7lbs 2oz. There are no condition issues to mention.
