This listing is for two pairs of rare brass Shabbat candlesticks designed by Ludwig Yehuda Wolpert (1900–1981), a renowned Jewish artist and silversmith known for his groundbreaking modernist designs in Judaica. Wolpert was born in Germany, later moved to Jerusalem, Israel, and eventually became the head of the Tobe Pascher Workshop for Jewish Art at the Jewish Museum in New York. One pair of these candlesticks is identical to the version cataloged and displayed at The Israel Museum, Jerusalem (catalog number: B19.0070(a-b)). These candlesticks were designed in the 1950s in Jerusalem and are made of cast and pressed brass. Each piece bears the original "Wolpert ISRAEL stamp, ensuring authenticity.
