This print that I'm offering for sale is from one of the most magnificent book productions of the 19th Century. Title of original publication: "Ceremonial of the Coronation of His Most Sacred Majesty King George the Fourth in the Abbey of St. Peter, Westminster". Prints includes the names of archbishops, bishops, peers, knights, and the principal officers who assisted in that magnificent ceremony, London, 1823.All my nine plates are published by George Byrom Whittaker (1793-1847). He perfected the skill of printing in gold on thick paper and vellum. Prints were exhibited at the stairs wall at Lawry's The Prime Rib, Chicago, IL for many years. This fine restaurant was located in the former L. Hamilton McComic Mansion. Restaurant was closed in 2020. Print is in very nice and as found and untouched condition. No damage noted. Printed on heavy paper. Not examined out of frame but looks to me that is in very good to excellent condition. There might be some minor imperfections that are consistent withe the age and material that this print was made from. Buy it now or best offer.
