DETAILS: Original Teddy Roosevelt campaign button issued by the St. Louis Button Company. Circa 1904. Back isis stamped St Louis Button Co. Front reads "Our Teddy Never Pulls Leather". Roosevelt is depicted as a rodeo rider in leather chaps with an extended free hand clutching his cowboy hat. This design is considered by most Roosevelt collectors as the best to capture hiswild-west persona. Rare. Less than ten examples of this button are known to still exist. Of these, this example is the only one to include theornate metal frame and tri-color ribbon that it was originally issued with.Measures 1.5" inches (4.5" inches withribbon).
