For sale is an exceedingly rare and very well preserved early 1980’s period, official Tamiya authorised dealership illuminated advertising sign.

This sign was used as a promotional advertising piece for a long established toy and model dealer in England. It is a great size and also very impressive when seen in person.

The sign is single sided and is housed in a robust aluminium enclosure. It is supposed to be wall mounted (although perfectly acceptable for it to sit unaided on a shelf).

The internal illumination is operated by fluorescent lighting and it is fully functional. The sign is currently wired to a UK plug but it can be easily changed to a European plug. For the sign to operate in the USA then a step down converter would be required as it will safely convert the voltage. The colours and inviting glow from the sign is genuinely superb.

The sign presents itself very well and being for the well known and much loved Tamiya brand of this era, it is almost impossible to come by. Apart from acceptable signs of use, there are no cracks in the screen face and the casing is fully intact.

This nostalgic and atmospheric sign is very striking and would be perfectly suited for an enthusiast to have on display. It has been privately owned and enjoyed but now the time has come for a new home to be found. I will ensure the sign is safely packaged for its journey to its new owner.
