Measures 3 7/8" x 8 7/8" folded with 8 sides...the other is 10" x 10 7/8" opened...this airline was only in business for 1 year with the flying service lasting about 2.These next several listings all came from one collector of airline/early airplane memorabilia. Just about each of the items has a common denominator...early airplane pioneer Ivan R. Gates. In the early days of flying he started the Gates Flying Circus, which barnstormed across the nation putting on daredevil shows. Each of the items here all came from 1929-1930 during a period of his business adventures...all of which were short-lived. He also started another aircraft company in 1927 that lasted until about 1930. He was a beginning member of the Early Birds organization so I have some of those items also. All of these things are VERY RARE and desirable for collectors...museum quality.
