Rare printing error: Completely blank/missing hologram (solid dark blue/black rectangle with no Gambit image or holographic effect). This is a recognized error variant and one of the rarest for this issue.

The standard cover of X-Men #25 has a green/amber holographic image of Gambit in the large rectangle.

Themost commonly recognized error is the blue hologram error: The hologram shifts to blue, dark blue, or blue-black shades instead of green. CGC often labels these “Distorted Hologram” or “Blue Hologram Error.” This is already considered rare.

THIS VARIANT IS EVEN MORE RARE.The hologram area is completely solid dark blue/black with no image whatsoever and no holographic shimmer. Collectors refer to these as “blank,” “all black,” or “missing hologram.” Multiple CGC forum threads and sales confirm these are scarcer than the blue variants and considered the rarest among the known hologram errors.
