Description

These exceptional antique George V English sterling silver photograph frames have a rounded shaped form with a plain oval window.

The surface of each silver frame is embellished with impressive bright cut engraved scrolling floral decoration to the sides, conjoined by a simplistic leaf festoon to the lower portion.

The domed upper portion of each frame incorporates a shaped vacant cartouche accented with simplified stemmed floral design emenating from each side.

These frames are fitted with the original painted wood backs and hinged struts, each secured with a silver swivel catches.

These impressive examples of antique silverware are fitted with removable glass panels.

Condition

These antique silver photo frames are an exceptional gauge of silver for their type, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition in keeping with age.

The bright cut engraved decoration is very crisp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each frame are all very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these pieces of antique silverware.
