True piece of history that belongs in a museum or one of the finest collections in the world. Arthur Chevrolet, one of the founders of Chevrolet Motors along with his brother Luis in 1911. Both Arthur & Luis, along with their younger brother Gaston, all competed as drivers in the Indianapolis 500. The year Gaston won the race in 1920, Arthur suffered severe injuries in a practice lap at the track.This personal letter to William Burns in 1928 was Arthur informing William that he will sell him a race car which Burns purchased. Chevrolet goes into detail on the car saying it can acheive 120 mph. Burns competed as a driver in 3 Indy 500's himself. Unbelievable content to this letter. This should appeal to the high end race car enthusiast as well as collectors of early pioneers of the Automotive industry. The Chevrolet Bros. signatures are much harder to find authenticated that Henry Ford and the Dodge Bros.This letter has the early Chevrolet Letterhead with both Arthur & Luis' pictures.Very fair price, The only Chevrolet letter currently available that I can find is one signed by Luis which has no personal content to it and is for sale at $25,000.
