Description:Allof the 23 remarkable autographs were penned on three of the first four right-handpages of Time-Life’s 1969 Publication “To The Moon II: The Story In PicturesAnd Text.” With the highest level of provenance and pedigree, thisis finest quality collection of important autographs from the Apollo LunarLanding Missions which exists. There are three reasons for this.First, this is the only example we have ever encountered of Neal Armstrongsigning perfectly and then adding “Apollo 11” flamboyantly in his ownhandwriting. Second, the complete run of lunar landings Apollo 11 through17 (minus Apollo 12) autographs rate either Mint 9 or Gem Mint 10—this includes10 of the 12 men who walked on the moon along with their corresponding commandmodule pilots in every case. Third, all of these autographs were obtainedin person by the top engineer from Ford, then Ford-Philco, then FordAerospace. As such, this remarkable engineer was at the forefront ofdesigning a great amount of technology used by the American space program includingbuilding Mission Control in Houston for NASA in 1963 and continuing through theMercury, Gemini, Apollo, Skylab, Apollo-Soyuz, and Spacelab space missions
