This is a lovely Piano Baby figurine, made of BISQUE, fine porcelain, girl holding fruits, the hair is a pale yellow. The figurine is approximately 14.5" tall x 13" long x 10" wide, and weights about 6 lbs 1.2 oz on the store's scale. The figurine is authentic and manufacturer'shallmark is stamped on the bottom.The figurine isin great antique condition, not restored, repainted or repaired, it has imperfections or effects of aging, normal wear and tear. Piano baby " is a collector's term. About 1880, the well-decorated home had a shawl on the piano. Bisque figures of babies were designed to help hold the shawl in place. They range in size from 5 to 18 inches. Most of the figures were made in Germany. Most of the piano babies date from the early twentieth century.
