Antique Victorian 1880s Velvet Photo Album with 2 locks of hair, 6 images, and a beautiful working Metal Clasp and ornate metal applications on the corners
This delicate album definitely shows some wear including loss of the ornate image that clearly adorned the front cover (you can see what it may have looked like in the listing I have up for an Empty album), wear on the spine, inside pages and overall wear to the outside (mainly to the velvet on front and spine, note that the back cover is still red and soft/less worn)
The 2 locks of hair are clean and tied with the original ribbons - one even has a bobby pin in it!
Measures about 8.5" x 10.5" x 2.5" and weighs 4lb 12oz with 20 double-sided pages for cabinet photosThis album was purchased with two other albums, one of which was dated 1888
