Incredible 6th plate daguerrotype of a stunning young woman, probably in her 20s, in a dark dress with a cameo or broach in the center of her neckline. In the plate, the broach has been accentuated in a small gold accent which was a nice touch. Beneath the image, a name, (possibly Louetta?) along with the date August 24th, 1857.
Also, pinned to the interior of the case, a small locket of hair, presumably the woman in the portrait.
The case the image is in clasps easily. Dimensions are approximately 2.5 x 3. Overall very good condition. Ships fully insured, signature required on delivery.
