Background and History
My passion for restoring cockpits and simulators began nearly 25 years ago with my first project a Boeing 707 GP Link Digital Flight Simulator sn# 0001 that's presently at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Museum and Library. In 2000 I purchased this F-4D Weapons Trainer sn# 12 from a local museum then spent the next 3 years piecing it back together including finding 2 beautifully restored Martin Baker H7 ejection seats. I added many cool features such as lighting up the instruments and panels, air system to active the canopies, audio & visuals with aviation style headsets, air conditioning and fans for pilot comfort, custom built all aluminum enclosed trailer with 2 down ramps and staging platform, very complete crowd pleasing pilot mannequins and themed control tower control station. The enclosed trailer offers excellent control of audio visuals that enhance the pilot and spectator experience. The F-4D simulator has always been and still is one of the crowd favorites at any aviation event.
Why Sell?
I'm now beginning retirement and its time to start planning ways to pass the torch. Ideally love to see Phantom legacy living on with through this simulator setup. It's a fantastic opportunity for clubs and aviation minded groups.
