1977 O-Pee-Chee Star Wars Series 1 Wax Box with 36 high-grade unopened packs. The box is in incredible condition with virtually no wear and none of the typical O-Pee-Chee tape to seal it. The packs are in perfect, factory-fresh condition and still have their original new-pack smell. Seven of the packs are shown outside of the box (see image above). One of the tougher original Star Wars boxes to locate.
Based on population figures, the O-Pee-Chee Star Wars cards are between 10 and 15 times more difficult to find in high grade than the Topps Star Wars cards and are still undervalued relative to their scarcity. Recently, however, values for high-grade first-series single cards have exploded with the #1 card (Luke Skywalker) now commanding stratospheric prices in top condition.
Quite likely, the finest Series one O-Pee-Chee Star Wars box in existence. Even if you were able to travel back in time and pulled a fresh box off of the store shelves in 1977, you would be hard pressed to locate a better one.
