WOW!!! Now this is a nice one... Large 1909 MC SHANE BELL FOUNDRY church brass bell. This unit was in a church in a small city in Quebec, Canada. It is in very good condition. It comes with the MC Shane support and what appears to be a custom made holder.
According to the ''SETH THOMAS CLOCK CO NEW YORK AND CHICAGO'' it appears that the clock may have been made for the SETH THOMAS CLOCK company and somehow found its way into Canada. We are not sure about that statement, it is just a theory.We are listing this unit today on August 13, 2026 at a fixed price of $26,500.00USD. If this unit does not sell within a few weeks, we will start restoring it. It will then be re-listed at a higher price according to the time spent on it.
This price includes securing the unit on a skid and loading it on your truck.
Please note the following defect;1) The Mc Shane frame was cracked on 3 different places during the years. One leg was soldered back (repaired) and the other two cracks were repaired using a flat bar screwed to the frame (no weld). Additional pictures can be supplied to show repairs. The bell itself was never repaired.2) The wooden wheel is broken on several places and is in 5 pieces. It will have to be repaired if you want to keep it as it was.
The last pic shows how the unit was mounted when operational.
