This offering is for my personal collection of memorabilia associated with the life and career of MICKEY SPILLANE. Included in this lot are things related to his comic career, to his career as a world renown author and even as a movie star. There are at least 200 different signed items with the most impressive being his typewriter which he also signed as "THIS IS AN ORIGINAL MICKEY SPILLANE MACHINE!!!" in black sharpie. The typewriter shows great signs of use and includes an identifier where the unit was checked as luggage on a trip. You can see by the photo of us together that he states that he "wrote a lot of books on it!" Also included is a letter on his letterhead about coming to pick it up at his home in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina.There are books (including proofs), movie posters, promos, TV & movie related items and much too much to list or photograph. We met at an event in Columbia, SC and became pen pals for years with me hunting the world over for his materials. Mickey is STILL in print today in many countries and is still popular the world over. I was told a while back that Ben Affleck secured the rights to his movies but a news story from June 13, 2025 states that "After collaborating on one of the great TV characters of the 21st century,Matthew McConaugheyandTrue DetectivecreatorNic Pizzolattohave set their sights on another classic character to tackle.
