This is a Model B, and it can play almost any 2-minute cylinder ever manufactured (wax or celluloid). It comes with an oil can, a "C" reproducer, a Gold Moulded cylinder and an original black and brass witch's hat horn.
It will be ready to display or play as soon as it arrives.
Condition is excellent, and the phonograph runs beautifully, as you can hear in the video I've posted above. The bedplate enamel is original, and it's nearly perfect. The gold bedplate decorations are likewise original, and they too are nearly perfect.
The motor is in excellent condition, with ample torque. The governor assembly is working properly, and all of the gearing beneath the bedplate is clean. The phonograph plays cylinders with ease.Cabinet is in excellent condition, including the lid, with scattered minor marks in the finish consistent with age and authenticity. The cabinet decal is original, and it's still crisp, with no scarring.
The little retaining screw on the periphery of the carriage's reproducer mount is a period replacement, but the phonograph is otherwise original throughout, including the black and brass witch's hat horn. The horn has no dings and no dents, and its original black paint is in exceptional condition.
The Model C reproducer sounds great, as you can hear in the video.
Included with the phonograph are an oiler and the Edison Gold Moulded cylinder that you hear in the video. If you get tired of listening to it, there are plenty of other titles available on and elsewhere.
