PARIS 1937 L’Exposition Internationale Compact Antique Deco Envelope Souvenir.

Vintage French Art Deco envelope-shaped powder compact. Blue painted enamel over

chromemetal. 1937 blue seal on the reverse was designedto appear and feel like the

contemporary wax of the day, but we don't know its actual composition.

Front is postmarked: Madame Un Souvenir de l'Exposition Internationale Paris 1937.

Measures approximately 3 inches x 2 1/4 inches.

Condition:

Estate item in very good used condition with drawer and purse wear at the edges.

Offered asfound; we have not cleaned or even wiped down the mirror or other surfaces.

Clasp works asdesigned, mirror intact. Powder puff with a kink in the middle of the

bottom legof its rectangular frame;fabric frayed at edges and worn, with small losses.
