Four (4) New Old Stock 6.50 x 16 Dunlop Racing tires shipped to Steve McQueen c/o McQueen’s film production company Solar Productions, Los Angeles, CA. Two of the original shipping labels state: Attn: Steve McQueen c/o Solar Productions, 8899 Beverly Boulevard, Los Angeles, California 90048. The other two labels are missing but still have the original attachment twine. Also a British Airways Cargo Tag is still attached to one tire.

Tire size 6.50 x 16 inch is the correct original tire size for McQueen’s famous 1956 Jaguar XKSS well known as the “ Green Rat ” (see attached reference photos) that McQueen owned from 1958 until his passing in 1980.

Other markings on tires: L (tire series); CR48 (year tread pattern was introduced 1962); 204 (compound = hard); Made in England. These tires were a part of the Mark Smith collection. Never mounted. Usable for static display only. Any questions email or call Fred at TransportationEmporium
