This listing is for a 1985 Garbage Pail Kids series 1 unopened wax box that is authenticated and sealed by BBCE. I purchased this unopened box from the original owner back in 2004 and just had it authenticated by BBCE in 2025. This unopened box is in pristine condition, and I honestly don't think there is a single blemish with the box. Don't just take it from me, Steve at BBCE let me know this is one of the best series 1 boxes he has ever seen. Also, included with the listing is a custom, high quality protective display case. The bottom lid is glued to the case with marine grade silicone. The same can be done with the top lid if you choose to do that. I recommend using a fine syringe to apply the silicone and then set a heavy book on top for a day. This is exactly what I did when I glued the bottom lid. Just be careful not to apply too much so that some of the silicone seeps out inside the case. For now, the top lid is held in place with painter's tape.
A 1985 Garbage Pail Kids series 1 unopened wax box is the most sought-after item for GPK collectors. It also has to be considered one of the best non-sport collectible investments in the world. The GPK franchise is still going strong to this day and guaranteed to increase in value. I probably should wait at least another 10 years before putting this up for sale.
