Incredible Estate sale find ! This estate sale had the biggest collection of primitives , and early art as well as unusual pieces from all over the world . This painting is very early as you can see . I had it professionally cleaned by Tindell’s restoration studios in Winter Haven Fl. I have pictures before the cleaning as well . There is one almost exactly like this in the Louvre museum in France . It is titled L’innocence . If you look closely , you will see that the lady is holding a string in her hand, and it is attached to the bird in the sky . On my painting , The canvas was lightly cleaned , (leaving much of the old patina to such an early painting ) to include all of the debris behind the stretchers / Timbers . The fabric was cleaned on the back . The front and back were neutralized and then conditioned after cleaning . They touched up a few small flaking areas . The conditioning helped the dryness , and aided the pigments in being more stable . It wasn’t completely restored . There are some very minor bumps or chipping near the bottom part of the frame , as shown . There is crazing as shown as well if you turn the painting in certain light angle you can see this . I wanted to leave the painting close to the way I found it out of the estate . Just a light cleaning and conditioning to stabilize the painting . She used all of the best museum quality agents to put on the painting for cleaning and conditioning . The painting in the frame measures about 30.5 x 36.75 inches . The painting itself measures about 25 x 31 inches . Winning U.S buyer to pay for shipping with insurance , or pick up from a location in Lakeland Fl .
