These are the photos acquired from the same dealer as the initial discovery of four photo booth photos of Joan Vollmer. Not soon after was the greater lot of William S. Burroughs and his family then discovered within the dealers items for sale unidentified. It was a large lot of photos from a large time span all the way back to CDV’s of his famous Grandfather the inventor of the adding machine who also shared the name William Seward Burroughs. Many pictures of him and his brother Mortimer jr., father Mortimer sr. and mother Laura. Within the lot for sale i had missed out on acquiring a picture of young William S. In navy garb. I share these pictures but please note this lot is for the eight photos of Joan and Edie. It is commonly known that it is their house parties that first brought William Burroughs, Jack Kerouac, and Allen Ginsberg together. Edie would become Jack’s first wife. And Joan would marry William in her second marriage and have her second child William jr. with him.
