Fresh from the estate of James Martin, who was managing editor of the New York Tribune in the early 1900s. A RARE collection of early 1900s Americana. The lot includes an original signed 1909 Limited Edition copy of James Martin’s book “Jason Jones The Life Story of An American Politician” And a hand written 1905 letter to Mr Martin from Andrew Carnegie. And a handwritten 1903 telegram sent to Mr Martin from Thomas J Lipton, founder of Lipton Tea Company. And an invitation to the reception for the Duke & Duchess of Cornwall and York’s visit to Montreal in 1901, sent to Mr Martin from the Mayor of Montreal.
