2006 Indianapolis 500 Miller Lite Indy Car Miller Brewing Company's contract with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway expired in 2005. Negotiations had already started and eventually a new contract written for Miller Brewing Co. that would keep Miller Lite beer as the official beer of the Indianapolis 500 for the next three years. This car was an idea of the Marketing Dept. at Miller Brewing Company Chicago, IL. PromoSports of Goshen, Indiana (a couple hours away) a small manufacturing company who specialized in high end mold blown plastics with state of the art technology and design were hired to create this idea. Designing and creating the car on time this vision was brought to life in a stunning and spectacular state of the art piece we see here today. From there it went straight to the field and was used to promote Miller Lite & Miller Lite beer as the official beer of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the 90th running of the Indianapolis 500, May 28 2006.
Financed by MILLER BREWING Co. and used as a marketing tool for the promotion of Miller Lite and official sponsorof the Indianapolis 500. This Indy car, for it's large scale size, not only looks fantastic but it is well constructed. Rolls along just like a smaller car but at over 4 feet in length larger than most kitchen tables, and likely the only one you will ever see.For an 06' it is still in excellent to mint condition, extremely sharp. A small decal under the car PromoSports of Goshen, Indiana. Contacting Miller Beer, they have no records back that far and PromoSports are no longer in business. Nobody knows how many were built but in the short time frame with this being a specialty order & PromoSports being a very small company, not many were built.
The driver is my addition (easily removed, just sit's there) and will go with the car also. He is not a true GI Joe just a cheep spin off that fell into a great position. Comes without his boots, bare feet, boots to big. The complete car consists of high grade durable molded plastic with metal rivets for construction and the axle'sare also metal. There could be a metal frame inside the body but that is unknown?Eleven decals, most of which might be the only ones that exist, designed for this specific application with the official consent of the Indianapolis 500 governing body for their affiliated decals. The under side is the same construction as the body in a matte black finish, one piece, and completely seals in the under body and chassis.
