Here is a gorgeous and wonderfully coloured antique silk heavily embroidered Manton di Manila Bed Spread dating to the early part of the 20th century circa 1900 to 1910. The richly coloured and detailed embroidery is in colours birds,butterfly including pinks, green and blue and it has long fringing and a hand knotted deep border to each side. These shawls are beautiful to wear as they have lovely movement when worn and they also look wonderful displayed as part of an interior design scheme as piano Bed Cover.

This is a large size shawl, when laid flat the silk measures approximately 65" inches by 6۳" inches, the fringing and border is 23" inches long at each side.

The condition is excellent overall for an embroidered silk shawl of this age.
