This is a rare and authentic early 19th century Ottoman cash register jewelry box, beautifully handcrafted from Rosewood and Ebony and richly decorated with intricate brass inlay and mounts. Such boxes were traditionally used in the Ottoman Empire to store coins, valuables, and important documents ( they were also serving as registrar boxes, and they remain highly collectible today.
