Herschede THE VIRGINIAN 9-tube solid Mahogany grandfather bell clock with scenic moon phase face. Plays a choice of Westminster, Whittington or Canterbury chime melodies. Model 276. The Virginian model has a very unique and beautiful custom 3-vial tube pendulum rather than the classic dome shaped pendulums more commonly seen.

The Virginian Herschede 1982-83 model is very rare. A very stately clock, to add elegance to any home. It's original darker patina is exceptional.

Avodire (French-named wood) overlay complements Mahogany solids and veneers. Floral carving on top accentuates Georgian styling. Acid etched door reveals three-vial pendulum. Brass weight shells with Herschede's reknown American made bell cable wound movement with 9 tubular, nickel-plated triple-chime movement. Hand engraved, pierced dial hand over an ornate fillagreed face. Raised black Arabic numerals and a second hand timer hand. Beveled glass sides and main door panel.

It was serviced by a clock maker one year ago...reported to be in excellent shape. Very rare clock, that once shipped will possibly, require a clocksmith visit to have the timing reset.
