Selling my extremely rare original Norma Jeane Marilyn Monroe contact sheet photographs taken by Andre De Dienes in 1945. This is while she was still only known as Norma Jeane. I believe these were taken at Paradise Cove. A photo from this shoot was chosen for the cover of a magazine. Very historical. Gelatin silver. In excellent condition. Each photo is crystal clear. This contact sheet contains a set of shots Andre took of her that day but what is interesting about this one is all of the contact sheets are flush with the photographic paper except for two images and those images appear to have been taken at a different part of the beach and those two are shown in the last two pictures, they are very securely placed on there by Andre but I noticed that they aren’t flush with the photographic paper as with the other contact sheets I have listed and the contact photos on this sheet. In wonderful condition. Gelatin silver. Size 11 x 8 3/4. Very rare contact sheet. Possibly the only one in existence. Produced and stamped by Andre himself. The contact sheets I have listed were some of my most expensive investments during my just over a decade of collecting and I have never seen anything similar to them, I believe they are definitely one of a kind and they all came from noted photographic preservationist Kim Goodwin. This is from, if not the best, then one of the very best Marilyn Monroe photo collectors of all time, Kim Goodwin. Kim was a man of many talents, he loved and had a deep appreciation for Marilyn, he actually worked for photographer, George Barris, and chose to be paid in photographs and negatives. He was extremely talented, among many talents, he was a photographic preservationist, there are many books that credit him for the use of his photos. He was a highly skilled Marilyn doll designer, some would argue perhaps the best because his dolls looked so life like and captured Marilyn’s beauty in a way no other designer could and they had a gracefulness to them that was unparalleled, and as mentioned above contributed to many books on her. He was also a sought after, highly regarded, expert stylist/artist to the stars.
