The age is officially unknown. The metal composition is also unknown. My family never had it appraised but most experts I've contacted including museums have no other examples to compare it to except possibly red Hellenistic Megarian pottery which was supposedly modeled after older bronze artifacts, very possibly like this one. Some Proto-Indo-European artifacts look similar also.
All said and done, it's a solid and heavy metal bowl that rings like a bell and has nudity depicted on it alongside musical instruments and possible humanlike dieties. I cannot guarantee anything other than you will receive the exact item pictured and it's provenance as from the Kennedy family.Sold AS IS.
