There is another seller offering custom neon on the internet.Seller claims that their fabrications are “superior” or “the best”. We submitthat all of them fall short of the premium quality standards of Electolite LiteFor Life® neon art fabrications. For example, many of the neon signs offeredthrough alternative providers are built using sub-standard materials/componentssuch as thin cabinets and flimsy substrate facings with vinyl decals or “hand painted”graphics offering neon glass that is almost ALWAYS basic standard “economy”grade glass verses PREMIUM classic colors. Bending neon is an art. There are manyvariables in neon fabricator’s representations. If one were to closely examine theradius bends and artistic nature of the contours of the neon there are significantand substantial differences in quality whereas one can see both major andsubtle discrepancies of which differentiate the quality and professionalism ofthe fabrications, (how fluently artistic the neon “flows”, how exact the glasscontours over the subject graphic and other criteria of which is theprerequisite difference in quality). Manyof the more obvious differences are reflected in the glass NOT contouring tothe graphic on the substrate whereas the neon glass “wanders” away from the“lines” of the subject graphic, where specific areas are omitted and/or in moreblatant circumstances the neon glass does not line up with the graphics at all.There is ANOTHER similar sign listed on and it is NOT at all any wherenear the same quality! For example the neon glass runs from the “neck” straightto the arm and the “shoulder” has been “left out”. In addition, the graphic is“painted” on aluminum and the image is not accurate in as much as the wordMICHELIN has just been “plastered/pasted” horizontally across the chest of theMICHELIN Man. The ACTUAL MICHELIN Bibendum character image logo wears a “banner”of which displays in a diagonal representation across the chest area. TheElectolite Lite For Life® neonrepresentation of the MICHELIN Bibendum is an exact realistic work on an 1/8”STEEL enamel substrate resulting in an incredible vivid, colorful and brightwork of art built “old school” by professionals since 1987. This information should be very helpfulfor those buyers who don't want to get ripped off! There are a group of a dozenor so sellers selling signs they call porcelain, used, preowned and vintage. Ifyou look at their sales history under ITEMS SOLD, you will find that they havesold and are STILL selling the SAME EXACT porcelain, used, preowned and vintagesigns over and over and over again. DOZENS of the same signs. Common sensereality check people. There is NO WAY someone has a never ending supply of thesame exact porcelain, used, preowned and vintage signs unless they are makingthem. These are fantasy fake reproductions listed as porcelain, used, preownedand vintage and are NOT even porcelain. The vast majority of buyers do not knowthe difference at all and this is what these deceptive sellers are counting on.If you are selling signs you make you should list them as such. Most of oursigns are NEW and our listings are transparent. Think twice before you buythese fake signs. It's OK to buy a sign made to look old but the buyer shouldbe told about this rather than intentionally deceiving people. If you call thesesellers out on this they just block you and continue flying under the radarselling fake signs that are NOT porcelain, used, preowned OR vintage.

There are a small handful of newer members, (we will not list these sellers names), that are now selling signsthey describe as “pre-owned”, that are actually very recently made. These signsare intentionally made to look old or vintage & described as preowned. Thevast majority of these newbie sellers are mass producing their “preowned” signsof just about everything vintage they can find on the internet. If you take thetime to review & research these sellers, what they sell and how manyhundreds and thousands of the same exact same signs they have sold over &over the prospective buyer can obviously see that it would be virtuallyimpossible to have 100 or 200 of the same exact “preowned” signs unless theywere making these signs themselves. Of course, these sellers are purposely nottransparent with their descriptions. They are intentionally vague as most buyersdo not take the time to do the research. Instead, many buyers click & buybelieving that the signs are, in some way vintage because after all, they arelisted as “preowned”. In addition, they describe them as porcelain & 99.9%are NOT porcelain. The vast majority are a digitallyenhanced graphics on steel or tin & then beat up using a multitude ofvarious methods to accelerate an aged appearance. Everything from soaking inacid solutions & various concoctions of special chemicals all mixed, used& designed to produce & sell preowned signs with a vintage appearance.All of this performed in the art of deception. Inspecting the back of the signsthey are all virtually identical. Either black or white with bubbles &scratches here and there in various different spots. Ultimately, it is veryeasy to spot these types/kinds of signs. There are dozens of sellers practicingthe same identical questionable business practices mass producing fakeporcelain fantasy signs. For the most part many of these signs are of decentquality & reasonably priced. However, several of these sellers haveliterally pirated Electolite’s original images & artwork designed byElectolite years & literally decades ago. Many of these images camedirectly from the 1926 Ashton Collins advertising binder, (of which we stillhave the original binder valued at $50,000.00). We have been on since dayone in September of 1995. Over 25 years. Electolite has been & still is,the most prolific seller of all things Reddy Kilowatt. If you GOOGLE ReddyKilowatt almost every third image on the Worldwide web is associated withElectolite. Virtual proof of just how long we have been selling Reddy Kilowattmemorabilia. Everything Reddy from original rare antique representations tomultiple unique fabrications ONLY available by/through Electolite. We areabsolutely one of the few known expert sources for all things ReddyKilowatt.
