1960-1963 NASA, Manned Spacecraft Center, Houston, TX, Project Mercury historical spacecraft capsule photographs lot including MSC folder and “Project Mercury, A Chronology” 238 pages book. Extraordinary collection of thirty (30), “VERY RARE” photos, highlighting early testing of spacecraft capsule, including boilerplate flights, escape system, flotation, parachute deployment, recovery systems, seaworthiness, splashdown, training, water landing. Official, genuine, period specific, press publicity, public affairs-information office (PAO) photos in poor to fair condition. Folder size approx. 9” x 12” in poor condition, book size approx 8” x 10” in fair condition. Lot will be sold as is, with no returns accepted.
