The San Francisco Mine in Mexico produced some of the finest wulfenite specimens ever discovered.Wulfenite in association with mimetite is one of the classic combo specimens many collectors seek out - This particular specimen is likely from a one time find in the 90's. Mimetite "balls" are covering the matrix and in some areas attached to the wulfenite which creates an amazing color and structural contrast throughout the entire piece. The wulfenite crystals are not of the typical beveled edge tabby crystal habit - The S.F. Mine is known for producing these chaotic and densely packed "wafer/feather" crystal growths. Last but not least - The butterscotch color of this specimen is very pretty - You won't find many minerals with this color so it stands out very nicely in your case!
